The Jackets outscored the Cards 6-2 down the stretch en route to the 25-17 win. The Cardinals hit .222 with two blocks.

Set 2
The Cardinals never had the lead in the second set and were trailing 13-8 when they called their first timeout.  UofL cut the lead to three at 17-14 on solo block by Nena Mbonu but could get no closer. The Jackets ran off the last five consecutive points for the 25-17 win. The Cards hit just .125 but did register three blocks.

Set 3
With the Cards leading 2-1 in the third, the playing surface became unplayable due to condensation. The match was halted for more than 20 minutes in an attempt to dry it off  befpre resuming play after a three minute warm up.  The Cardinals came out of the delay and built a four point lead at 9-5 to spark a GT timeout.  Three straight kills by Claire Chaussee took the Cards to a 12-7 lead and then steadily pulled away before Tech burned its last timeout down 17-11.  Chaussee continued to spearhead the offense from the left side and her kill put the Cards at set point at 24-15. A hitting error by Julia Bergmann gave Louisville the 25-15 win.  UofL hit .441 in the set with two blocks and an ace.

Set 4
The Cards popped out to a 3-0 lead in the fourth set. The Jackets tied at nine but three straight kills by the Cardinals, including a kill by Anna DeBeer from the back row, forced GT to call timeout as the UofL run hit five straight.  Georgia Tech scrambled back and after a Bergmann kill and block, UofL called timeout up 17-14. The Cards maintained the lead and were up four at 21-17 after a kill by Nena MBonu. A kill by Tillman put the Cards up 24-19 and a miss by Tamara Otene gave UofL the 25-19 win to force a fifth set.

Set 5
UofL was up 2-0 early in the fifth but Tech tied on a block by Breland Morrissette.  A kill by Aiko Jones and a block by Tillman tied the set at four. The Cards trailed by one at the switch 8-7. UofL scored twice to go up 9-8 and GT called timeout.  Two straight kills by Chaussee put the Cards up 11-8 as part of a 4-0 run and Tech used its final timeout. Louisville did not waver and won the set 15-11, scoring on a miss by Bergman.
