Thomas More University women’s soccer team fell to #14 Cumberland (Tenn.) on Wednesday afternoon (October 12) 3-1. The Saints overall record falls to 9-3-2 and 4-3 in conference.

  • Junior transfer Sterre Harsveld van der Veen (Utrecht, Netherlands/USG) scored off a free kick from the 18-yard line in the first three minutes of the game to put the Saints on top 1-0.
  • Cumberland’s Ao Yamade would score off assists by Maire Bathe and Haley Stevens to tie the game up at 1-1 in the 42nd minute.
  • Cumberland’s Gabby Jones would find the back of the net off an assist from Haley Stevens to make it 2-1 in the 44th minute.
  • Cumberland’s Marie Bathe would score in the 74th minute, assisted by Evelyn Jimenez to make it a 3-1 game.
