This morning, the Thomas More men’s basketball program achieved their highest ever ranking, as they climbed to No. 2 in the Preseason NAIA Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll. The Saints are coming off a season in which they advanced to the Fab Four of the NAIA Tournament and won a school record 31 games.

This is the fifth straight poll that the Saints have been ranked in the Top-10 and second straight in the Top-Five. With the women’s basketball team’s No. 1 ranking, this is the first-time in school history that the women have been ranked No. 1 and the men No. 2.

The Saints begin their 2022-23 season at No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan University on Nov. 5 at 4:00 p.m. They will then play at home against Miami-Hamilton (Nov. 8) and Kent State-Tuscarawas (Nov. 12) before beginning Mid-South Conference play.

They host the University of the Cumberlands Patriots on Nov. 17, who are receiving votes before traveling to No. 10 Georgetown College on Nov. 19. They dropped a pair of games to the Patriots last season and won two of three games against the Tigers.
