The Cards will be facing tough competition in their opening weekend as the Notre Dame men’s team was picked to win the ACC Championship while the Irish women were predicted to finish second in the preseason coaches’ poll.

The 2020 Cardinals return 10 letterwinners from last year and add one newcomer to the men’s team. On the women’s side, Louisville welcomes back five returners including 2019 All-ACC performer Ivine Chemutai and two-time All-American Dorcas Wasike, while seven newcomers will join the team.

“Our students have had well over five months of since we last competed during the indoor track season and this will be a great opportunity to knock the rust off in an early season race against a top 10 team in the country,” said Cowper.
