Louisville Men’s Soccer Announces New Assistant Coach

Stephen Lunney, formerly of Lipscomb University, is set to join the University of Louisville men’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach, as announced by head coach John Michael Hayden. Lunney spent eight seasons at Lipscomb, serving as the assistant coach for six years and the graduate assistant for two years. During his tenure, the Bisons had a 75-55-14 overall record and won the Atlantic Sun Conference title four times in the last six seasons. In 2022, the Bisons set multiple program records, including the most wins in program history and the highest national ranking of any Lipscomb team of any sport in history (No. 9). Lunney was named the MVP of the National Tournament and an All-American during his playing career at Martin Methodist College. He has a bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Physical Education from Martin Methodist College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Lipscomb University.
